Sadly we report to the FCA Family that Pastor Kenneth ‘Ken’ Lindahl tragically departed his earthly life on June 19, 2014, as a result of a motor vehicle accident while on his homeward journey of a business trip. Ken has gone home to his Lord and Saviour, but leaves family and friends to mourn his passing.
After graduating with distinction as the valedictorian of his graduating class of Acts Leadership Training Centre (where he completed his Bible College education held in partnership with Calgary Christian Centre), he and his wife Shirley with their two sons Scott and Nick, moved to Cranbrook, British Columbia to become the next lead pastor of Cranbrook Christian Centre.
While pastoring in Cranbrook, Ken already ordained, first joined the FCA himself, and then brought that congregation into affiliation with the FCA. (Today this congregation is known by their new name of ‘The Dwelling Place’ and is pastored by Ron Short) Ken jumped in with both feet and with his enthusiastic gusto took many of his leadership team on an 8 hour drive to Camp Berachah in Washington, to attend the FCA International convention that was being hosted by Philadelphia Church of Seattle.
When Ken and Shirley completed their ministry call at Cranbrook, they first passed the reins over to veteran FCA missionary and church planters, Pastor Nils and Pat Leksen (who came north from Tacoma as the next pastors). The Lindahl family moved back to Alberta to Shirley and Ken’s home community of Wetaskiwin, and attended and served as associates alongside of Pastor Glen and Lois Forsberg at the Wetaskiwin Full Gospel Church.
Ken continued to serve the Lord while in the Millet area near Wetaskiwin, with gatherings of believers in home based and family sized and structured fellowships, and had a passion for worshipping the Lord, and encouraging others to use their gifts and talents for the glory of Christ.
Ken is survived by his loving family; wife of 40 years, Shirley (nee Zerebeski); sons, Scott (Shauna) and Nick (Shauna); and 5 grandchildren, Paige, Spencer, Kendra, Hannah and Olivia; his parents, Harold and Irma; sisters, Judy (Ron) Liddle and Donna (Stan) Porritt as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, extended family members and many friends.
A Memorial Service will be held at: Calvary Baptist Church, 4910 Northmount Drive, Wetaskiwin, Alberta on Thursday, June 26, 2014 at 11:00 a.m.
Anyone choosing to honor Ken’s life with a donation life may make a donation in his memory to the Wetaskiwin Health Foundation, 6910-47 Street, Wetaskiwin, AB T9A 3N3, and such gifts will be gratefully received.

Hebrews 2:5-11 says,
“5 For He has not subjected to angels the world to come that we are talking about. 6 But one has somewhere testified: What is man that You remember him, or the son of man that You care for him? 7 You made him lower than the angels for a short time; You crowned him with glory and honor 8 and subjected everything under his feet.
For in subjecting everything to him, He left nothing that is not subject to him. As it is, we do not yet see everything subjected to him. 9 But we do see Jesus—made lower than the angels for a short time so that by God’s grace He might taste death for everyone—crowned with glory and honor because of His suffering in death.
10 For in bringing many sons to glory, it was entirely appropriate that God—all things exist for Him and through Him—should make the source of their salvation perfect through sufferings. 11 For the One who sanctifies and those who are sanctified all have one Father. That is why Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers” (HCSB).
The above is submitted by Pastor George Bradley, friend and brother in the Lord, who served as Ken’s Associate Pastor briefly alongside of Ken and Shirley while together in Cranbrook. He and his wife Annette are the pastors of Red Deer Liberty Christian Assembly, and he is numbered among the many, many who have had the blessing of knowing Ken, and clings to the sure promise and hope of seeing him again.
Good Job George!
