“Success,” according to John Sprecher, “is the discovery of redemption through failure.” Sprecher, lead elder of the U.S. FCA, spoke Tuesday, May 3, at the Canadian FCA annual convention.
He went on to warn about becoming imitators of so-called successful ministers rather than initiators of the work of the Spirit in our own hearts. Don’t just go to a conference to copy what others are doing in different places, in different contexts, and in completely different settings, he cautioned.
Sprecher said the question you need is: “What is God calling you to do in your situation where you are?”
Tuesday night’s meeting capped a day filled with inspiration—even an inspiring business meeting as the Fellowship looked at new direction for future ministry together. New Fellowship elders were named.
God moved in an anointed and spontaneous way in Tuesday night’s service. Prophetic ministry greatly encouraged those attending the meeting. Also, a time of prayer asking God for physical healing of host pastor Brad Montsion, fanned the flames of faith in many.
In addition, Nelson Richardson, who turns 80 this year, was recognized for his many years of faithful ministry in the FCA and beyond.
