Like the air we breathe, love is an essential human need that we must have to live life as it was intended – to its fullest. If we are to know and experience a love that is pure, genuine, faithful, and strong then we must understand where love comes from. It has a root. The Word of God has revealed to mankind not only that He is a loving God, but also that He is Love (1 John 4:8,16). That’s big! Love is not just what He does, it’s who He is. He is the source of love! And that means whatever He does, love has to be in it. God cannot deny Himself. Even though He is Sovereign and King and can do and accomplish whatever He pleases, whatever He does love is there. It’s there because He is. Like it or not, understand it or not, agree with it or not, Love is a reality and can only be embraced by faith.
As leaders, what’s more, as human beings looking for real love, we must look to God and get to know Him better especially if we want to be better at experiencing love with each other. Knowing love is in the center of God’s will and a good place to be. You can be assured that love is something He wants to share or better said, give away. And when you receive it, love changes everything. Love makes the strongest man cower. Love makes the weakest man tower. Love desires to make a person whole.
Love is immeasurable! It has a purpose and edifies everyone it touches. Love is powerful and a strength that is freely given to all who seek it. The strength of love is never earned but always given. It is not something that can be personally confined but overflows to whatever is touched. Love begs the question – How is it possible for such a holy, righteous, and perfect God to love such creatures as us? Simply – God is love. So come as you are. Love is calling. Let Him have you. And have a great day, week, month, and year knowing that – Somebody Loves You!
This is message of God’s love is Good News that we are called to experience, proclaim, and demonstrate.
