Ray Pope, director of Seminario Biblico de Fe (Buenos Aires, Argentina, and other sites), passed away on November 12, 2011 of an apparent heart attack. He was just 55 years old. Ray and his wife, Trini, made their home base in Coral Springs, Florida, just north of Miami. They are the parents of two daughters, Jackie and Anna.
The seminary, founded by his father (Milton Pope), has served more than 25,000 students over three decades and shaped many of Argentina’s Christian leaders. Ray’s mother, Mackie Pope, still lives in Argentina.
Funeral services will be held on Thursday, November 17, 2011 at Calvary Chapel in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Representing FCA will be U.S. National Coordinator, Pastor Warren Heckman as well as Pastor Carl Johnson and an elder from Ray’s endorsing church, Gracepoint Gospel Fellowship in New City, N.Y. Pastor Tom Alexander from the Phoenix area will also attend.
